Hindu Light Sculptures | The Story of Studio Xenon

Studio Xenon began with the two of us, a husband and wife, both designers, with a shared desire to create something of our own.

One of us comes from a background in Industrial design, the other in Visual design. After years of working in design, we wanted to bring our understanding of form, proportion, colour and detail into something more personal.

Something that had meaning.

Our journey began with Ram Lalla Light Sculpture. World's first Devotional Light sculpture.

What started as a single sculpture soon became something much bigger. As we created more, we found ourselves looking deeper into the forms of the deities we had grown up seeing and worshipping, their expressions, postures, proportions, ornaments, symbols and the stories behind them.

The more we explored, the more we wanted to create.

Today, that journey has grown into a collection of 50+ Hindu sculptures.

Rooted in Sanatan Tradition

For us, creating a representation of a deity is about much more than creating a beautiful figure.

Every form has meaning.

We pay close attention to the posture, expression, proportions, ornaments and attributes that define each deity. We spend time understanding these details and the traditions behind them before bringing our own design approach to the sculpture.

We also consider Vastu and the relationship between the sculpture and the space around it, so our pieces can naturally become part of modern homes, pooja spaces and other meaningful places.

Detail Is Everything

For us, detail is the heart of the sculpture.

We want our pieces to reward a closer look.

From the expression on a face to the smallest ornament, we carefully develop and refine every element. Every sculpture is individually finished and extensively hand-detailed, with a significant amount of the final work done by hand.

It takes time. It takes patience. And we believe it is worth it.

Because when you look closely, we want you to discover something new.

 

Made as an Art Piece

We never wanted to create something that simply feels like another product on a shelf.

Our sculptures involve extensive detailing and handwork, and each piece receives individual attention from start to finish.

That is why we see them as exclusive art pieces rather than commodities.

Something you choose for your home because it means something to you — and something you can continue to appreciate long after you first bring it home.

When Sculpture Meets Light

Light is at the heart of what we create.

During the day, our sculptures reveal their form, depth and intricate details.

When illuminated, they take on a completely different presence. Light moves across the contours, highlights the details and creates a warm, peaceful atmosphere around the sculpture.

This is what makes our work a light sculpture.

We don't simply add a light to a sculpture.

We design the sculpture and the light to work together.

From Ram Lalla to 40+ Sculptures

What began with one Ram Lalla has become a growing collection of 50+ Hindu light sculptures.

With every new piece, we continue to explore the richness of Hindu and Sanatan traditions, looking for ways to preserve the character and meaning of these timeless forms while presenting them in a way that feels at home in contemporary spaces.

We are still learning. We are still creating. And we are still finding new details to obsess over.

At the heart of it all, our purpose remains simple:

To create Hindu light sculptures that honour tradition, celebrate extraordinary detail, and bring a beautiful and meaningful presence into the spaces we call home.
